Monday Blues

Well, you aren’t alone in your struggle, as the ONIM (“Oh No It’s Monday”) syndrome is a global phenomenon. Unfortunately, as long as you are in the workforce, you’re going to have to face 50-plus Mondays each year.  So, you just have to bite the bullet and make the most out of each Monday.

Look your best.

Monday morning is no excuse to let your fashion game slide. When you look great, you feel great and confident.  So, why not put on your favourite clothes and feel like the millionaire you’re destined to be on Monday.

Take a long road.

Whether you commute via public transportation or your own car, see if you can squeeze in an extra 15 minutes for a brisk walk to your office. Walking in the morning will get your heart rate up just enough to give you an extra boost of energy without making you feel exhausted.

Tell yourself Monday is your favourite day.

Positive reinforcement does wonder.  Some evidence even shows that it helps speed recovery from some of the most severe illnesses. So, keep being excited about Monday, telling yourself that Monday is your favourite day and believe in it. Your outlook on Mondays will never be the same again.

A case of the Mondays? Sometimes you gotta give in and go with it! We’re all human and there’s nothing wrong with being true to you blues (well, let’s not go too far). Pick a bright and bold shade, maybe even a sassy silhouette, and some pick-me-up pink lips and get your week off and running. That frown will be upside down in no time.
